Meet the artists when they talk about their work in Funny Bone, Nida Powers and Women of Mystery during a tour of the exhibitions.
Sunday, July 16th at 11:00 a.m. at the museum
$10 admission, $7 Visions members
Meet Funny Bone artists David Charity, Jamie Fingal, Wendy Huhn, Nancy Lemke, and Pam RuBert; and Nida Powers artist Kathy Nida; plus Women of Mystery artist Charlotte Bird.
Funny Bone will make you smile with subjects from dancing robots to a tiny house for people who like to take baths. The Funny Bone artists were inspired by cartoons, anime, and the absurdities of life. See work by David Charity, Jamie Fingal, Wendy Huhn, Nancy Lemke, Pam RuBert, and Kathy Weaver.
Kathy Nida’s provocative imagery in Nida Powers incorporates the many roles of womanhood in detailed combinations of female anatomy, domestic appliances, and the great outdoors.
Charlotte Bird’s Women of Mystery are five cultural and mythological goddesses with aspects of their attributes and inherent powers.
The exhibitions continue through October 8th.
