Artist Media in Quilting with Betty Busby

Materials List:

  • Two yards white or light-colored material (minimum), washed
  • Two or more 1” wide artist brushes•Water container for rinsing brushes
  • Gloves for painting
  • Water miste
  • One piece of foam core - the 20×30” size available at Target and most grocery stores
  • 3 white plastic unscented 13 gallon kitchen trash bags
  • plastic tablecloth to cover your table and paper towels for cleanup

Learn to accentuate your images with artist materials. Students will paint fabric samples with custom-made sun printing shapes.

Then students will use an assortment of media to complete the images - these techniques can be used in many ways to punch up art quilts of your own design.

The media and paint will be provided. Betty will bring an electric cutter for those who are interested in learning the basics of design and operation of it.

*Please note, venue requires proof of vaccination for all students.

Reservation process: After you fill out the reservation form, staff will contact you during Museum business hours to process payment. After we contact you, if we do not hear back from you within 48 hours, your spot may be lost.

  • Reservation forms will be released on the dates listed above.
  • Membership status will need to be verified for early-bird registration.
  • Reservations will not be finalized until payment has been processed.
