Quilt Visions is please to announce the opening of our latest exhibition: Transformations: Reverberations.

This exhibition featuring selected work by artist members of Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) will run from April 4 through May 25, with an opening reception, Friday, April 4, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Juror, Sandra Sider, wrote: "My goal was to select a group of quilts in which ideas or emotions were successfully expressed through color, line and texture. My subtitle for the exhibition, Reverberations, resulted from the visual dialogues between various quilts.
Through shape, color, texture, or idea, these works speak to each other in the archetypal language of quilts."

SAQA is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote the art quilt through education, exhibitions and professional development. The work of 24 award-winning quilt artists will be displayed, including artists from the United States, Belgium, Africa, France, Denmark and Germany. This exhibition fi rst premiered at the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham, England and then traveled to the Quilt Indulgence Festival in New South Wales, Australia. It will have just fi nished a run at the Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey, Michigan before coming to the Visions Gallery.

SAQA has produced a full-color, 48-page catalog of the exhibition which will be available for purchase ($15.00) during the run of the exhibition at the Gallery.
