California Fibers: Natural Forces - Works from a Coalition of Contemporary Fiber Artists
February 1—March 23, 2008
Opening Reception: February 1, 5-7pm.
Quilt Visions is pleased to announce the opening of CALIFORNIA FIBERS: NATURAL FORCES.
This exhibition features selected pieces from a group of contemporary fiber artists who regularly exhibit work internationally. It will run from February 1 to March 23, with an opening reception February 1, from 5 to 7pm.
Juror, Sandra Sider states, "The theme of natural elements, including time and space, flows through the exhibition. These artists seem attuned to the Earth, from the minute details of a blue pod and June bugs to visual commentary on spring, the tides, and the moon. Other pieces reveal the essentialist nature of things, including wayward husbands, grandfathers, and bones. The works in this show confirm the vibrancy of contemporary fiber art in California."
Please join us in celebrating fiber arts in its many forms by visiting this outstanding exhibition.
