Quilts Japan Prize

The Quilts Japan Prize is sponsored by Nihon Vogue Company, LDT. The jurors selected Wendy Huhn of Dexter, Oregon, to receive this award for her work Play. The objective of the Quilts Japan Prize is to express gratitude for the continued growth of the Japanese quilt, which is due in great part to American quilters, and to pay respect to the predecessors of quiltmaking. With this award, Nihon Vogue hopes to play a role in the development of quiltmaking by helping to link the ties between Japanese and American quiltmakers.
