Inspired by the Masters, Jane Dunnewold

Jane Dunnewold is a professional artist, teacher, and author of Art Cloth: A Guide to Surface Design on Fabric, Complex Cloth and Art Cloth. She teaches and lectures internationally, and maintains Jane Dunnewold Studios, a studio and retreat center in the historic district of San Antonio, Texas.
Dunnewold's latest series was created especially for her solo exhibition, Inspired by the Masters which opens with a reception on July 16th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. As the title suggests, these works were inspired by famous art masters. Meet Dunnewold at the opening reception and at her lecture and book signing on Sunday, July 17th at 11:00 a.m. when she shares concepts from her new book, Creative Strength Training: Prompts, Exercises and Stories to Encourage Artistic Genius.
Dunnewold is a past president of the international Surface Design Association. Her passions include the psychology of artistry and meaning. She is especially interested in "writing and making"� as integral aspects of the creative process.
