Recurring Dream, Gay Lasher

April 16—July 3, 2016

Opening Reception: April 16, 5-7pm.

These creatures come at night, at different times, in different visages — visitors from the unconscious. They speak their own language which you must decipher. They will continue to come until you understand their message. Pay attention. They are your guides.

Artist Gay Lasher has generated six different versions of a young man walking into a house from one color digital photograph. The images were created by digitally manipulating the photograph then printing the results on paper-backed cotton panels. Lasher painted additional elements and machine-stitched the finished quilts.

Meet Colorado artist Gay Lasher at the opening reception for Recurring Dream, April 16th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Visions Art Museum in the arts district of Liberty station. Admission is $7. Members of Visions Art Museum enjoy free admission. Wine and light refreshments will be served.
