Men and women all over the United States are turning to thread to tell a story. Although embroidery has been around since people began wearing clothes, the 14 artists in "The Art of the Stitch" have put a contemporary twist on this method of decorating and embellishing.

The exhibition goes on view October 15th and runs through January 23rd. The opening reception is November 5th from 5-8 pm.

The members' challenge, "Leaves & Trees" will also be on view beginning October 15th. Visions members are interpreting the theme in 12" square quilts as a fundraiser for the Visions Art Museum. All challenge quilts are for sale.
